Information on calls for proposals for funding programs from all major funding organisations such as DFG, BMBF and other federal ministries, EU, DAAD and AvH can be found in the e-mail newsletter of the Research, International and Transfer Information Service - FIT. FIT is administered by the University of Kassel and is an e-mail service that provides researchers with targeted and tailored information on research funding. In addition to the email service, there is the FIT database, where you can easily search for suitable funding programs at any time. MLU has become a member of FIT since March 1, 2025. With your @(domain).uni-halle.de e-mail address, you now have the opportunity to register for a free subscription and set up an individual user profile. Please click here    to register.

German Federal Government, Federal States, and European Union

For federal, state and EU funding, there is the federal funding database, which provides an overview of federal, state and European Union funding programs. The funding database is free of charge and can be searched according to various criteria. The federal funding advice service also offers individual advice on funding opportunities.

Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG)

There are various sources of funding from the Deutsche Forschungsgemeinschaft (DFG), depending on the type and scope of the planned research. The DFG research funding programs provide an overview of the various DFG funding lines and instruments. The DFG's calls for proposals provide information on current announcements and deadlines for submitting proposals. The page "Finding the right individual funding" helps you to select the right funding program for your individual research project.

European Union and international projects

For funding from the European Union, there is the Funding & tender opportunities portal of the European Commission, which contains all current calls for proposals and information on EU funding programs. The portal also provides access to the electronic application systems and project management. The "EU Funding Programs" page provides an overview of the various EU funding programs by subject area.
