In the period 2020-2024, MLU, in association with the Friedrich Schiller University of Jena and the University of Leipzig, is implementing a project to internationalize startup support at the three universities.

The International Startup Campus (ISC) of the University Alliance Halle - Jena - Leipzig, which comprises the largest universities in the German states of Saxony, Saxony-Anhalt and Thuringia, aims to promote the internationalization of startups in the region and develop an internationally oriented startup ecosystem. The universities of Halle, Jena and Leipzig are creating explicit offers along the fields of action Attract, Academy and Accelerate to support internationally oriented startups in their market entry outside Germany, in addition to promoting the settlement of startups from abroad or offering further training.

The project is funded by the Exist-Potentiale program of the German Federal Ministry of Economics and Climate Protection.
