• Coordination of technology commercialization.

Christian Buchner (Entrepreneurial Skill Development)

• Conception and implementation of a qualification and workshop programme for early career researchers
• Realisation of qualification and workshop programmes
• Realisation of sensitisation and motivation offers for the transfer activities of early career researchers
• Networking with innovation and start-up players and establishing a pool of experts from science and practice
• Project management for the project Just Transistion Center and administration and participation in project-related coordination
• Participation in project-related public relations work

Responsibilities:

• Clarification/processing of fundamental and interdisciplinary issues,
• Initiating and maintaining contacts and cooperations with companies, other institutions, chambers and associations,
• Advising and supporting the faculties and scientific institutions in all matters relating to knowledge and technology transfer,
• Coordination of start-up-related third-party funded projects (on behalf of the Vice-Rectorate for Research, Internationalization and Transfer).

Dr. Robert Szczesny (Manager Intellectual Property)

Responsibilities:

• Information, advice and support for university members on general questions of intellectual property protection, employee invention law and patent, competition and copyright law,
• Receipt and formal examination of invention disclosures and preparation of statements with regard to technological feasibility, commercial potential and exploitation opportunities for inventions,
• Participation in the further development and validation of the strategy for dealing with intellectual property and development of protection and exploitation strategies for IP objects, including reporting,
• Drafting and preliminary review of exploitation agreements in the IPR area (in particular non-disclosure agreements, patent license agreements, know-how agreements, software agreements) and material transfer agreements,
• Nagoya representative of the MLU.
